I can’t bear the thought of Douglas being without a Martin and MJN being without any of the four.

Martin: Yes. Yes, Douglas, you are. I am the captain of this plane, as my hat suggests, and as such, it is customary for me, the captain, to sit in the left seat, the captain’s seat. And you, Douglas, should sit in the right seat, the first officer’s seat.

Douglas: But Martin, you forget. You accepted that job offer at Swiss Airways, so starting next week, you’ll be a first officer and I’ll be the captain here.

Martin: Yes, but that’s next week. As of now, I am still—

Douglas: We all know you need the practice so you’re starting your first officer duties early.

Martin: No. Nonononono. Douglas, that’s absurd!

Douglas: Of course, there is one thing you can do that may persuade me otherwise.
